Hello! I’m Georgia,
I’m an obsessor of design, with a passion for creating meaningful, engaging experiences.
My works combine marketing foundations, established graphic design experience and user-centric design thinking to create physical and digital outputs with purpose. I believe that no human interaction with design should be ugly, difficult, nor daunting and that through an empathetic and human-focused approach, we can turn confusion into meaning, good into fabulous and ideas into purpose.
My journey to design began with a fascination for branding and strategy, but my love for hands-on creativity turned a graduate content creation role into endless (and ugly!) experiments with Adobe creative suite. Overtime, a side-hobby turned obsession and I was fortunate enough to work with a range of talented clients who kindly took a chance on my work, working across print and digital mediums.
A love for creating beautiful, memorable works, a passion for purpose and a strange fixation on “things that shouldn’t be so crap to use” led me to explore how I could use design to help people “do stuff”, discovering the realms of user experience design. In 2021, I took the leap and completed my Master of User Experience Design, graduating with Distinction.
Since then I’ve worked as a digital designer for full-service digital agency hairyLemon, and most recently as in-house UX designer & researcher at the University of Canterbury, where I own a range of projects including usability and accessibility audits, wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping through to developer handoff, UAT testing and go-live client delivery.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me mountain biking down hills, or cycling along a lovely gravel road somewhere.
If you think we can create engaging and memorable work together, I’d love to hear from you.
